Colorfully Happy: Nasturiums

Colorfully Happy: Nasturiums

This was a painting that was inspired by a photograph that my sister, Belinda took at Ballard Lochs. Colorfully Happy! My painting of nasturtiums 11″x14.5″, Watercolor and colored pencil.

About Rachel Heu

"Creativity is an act of defiance. You're challenging the status quo. You're questioning accepted truths and principles. You're asking three universal questions that mock conventional wisdom: Why do I have to obey the rules? Why can't I be different? Why can't I do it my way?" --Twyla Tharp, The Creative Habit: Learn It and Use It For Life (pg. 133)

This is a masterpiece! I love the colors – it looks like an up to date Monet. Again it makes me happy and hopeful.

    • B- This painting happened because of you. It is inspired by a photo that you took and gave me on one of your cds– that I loved. and I have been looking around at live nasturiums as much as I can the spring. So, my gratitude goes out to you! PS Thank you for commenting 🙂 (Love ya!)
