My 35 Words: Nourish

Something wonderful is going to happen!

(From my 35 favorite words: Nourish.) (The “Nourish” sister card is the word: Mentor.)

For some reason, I remember my Grandma H using this word a lot: Nourish.  A teacher or a mentor knows how gratifying it is to nourish someone, like a gardener knows that a well-taken-care-of plant will flourish when given the right care and fertilizer.

(If you are new to my blog, what I am doing right now is running a virtual art show of 35 of my most favorite words. If you would like to see the others that have been posted, click here. About Rachel Heu

"Creativity is an act of defiance. You're challenging the status quo. You're questioning accepted truths and principles. You're asking three universal questions that mock conventional wisdom: Why do I have to obey the rules? Why can't I be different? Why can't I do it my way?" --Twyla Tharp, The Creative Habit: Learn It and Use It For Life (pg. 133)
