Reworked: Watercolor media

I was just playing around and masking off some of the painting with rubber cement to retain the white flowers. 11″x14.5″ watercolor and watercolor pencils, wet-on-wet painting of blue and purple flowers. I notice that my camera has trouble picking up the dioxazine purple so I strongly feel that this painting is better in person, but I still want to post it. This is an updated version because I thought I was done and then realized I wanted more blue and, specifically, wanted to add pthalo blue to the painting.

About Rachel Heu

"Creativity is an act of defiance. You're challenging the status quo. You're questioning accepted truths and principles. You're asking three universal questions that mock conventional wisdom: Why do I have to obey the rules? Why can't I be different? Why can't I do it my way?" --Twyla Tharp, The Creative Habit: Learn It and Use It For Life (pg. 133)
