About Rachel Heu

"Creativity is an act of defiance. You're challenging the status quo. You're questioning accepted truths and principles. You're asking three universal questions that mock conventional wisdom: Why do I have to obey the rules? Why can't I be different? Why can't I do it my way?" --Twyla Tharp, The Creative Habit: Learn It and Use It For Life (pg. 133)

your grandma harriet loved fuchias. she used to have baskets of them hanging all around. So did my grandmother – the white-haired grandma. I don’t know if you remember her.

Hi Mom (Betty!)– I didn’t know that… that’s pretty cool to know. The fuschia attract the humming birds, so we hung a bunch of baskets of fuschia around the house this year, combined with a super mild summer, so we have been seeing hummingbirds almost daily. What a trip! Love, Rachel
