About Rachel Heu

"Creativity is an act of defiance. You're challenging the status quo. You're questioning accepted truths and principles. You're asking three universal questions that mock conventional wisdom: Why do I have to obey the rules? Why can't I be different? Why can't I do it my way?" --Twyla Tharp, The Creative Habit: Learn It and Use It For Life (pg. 133)

  3. Betty says:

Love the cosmos. Amazing how the different media makes each scetch so individual.

    • Rachel Heu says:

Yeah, when you cross-train in different media, you start to hone in on the strengths of each one. I think that you have to treat the subject slightly differently depending on what media you are working in. I’m surprised by the fact that sketching in plain ‘ol ball point pen is becoming one of my favorite ways to sketch.
